Linggamas: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat recognizes that the integrity of the scholarly record is essential to responsible academic publishing. The editorial team is responsible for making publication decisions based on the journal's editorial policies, peer review process, academic standards, and applicable legal and ethical requirements, including those concerning copyright, plagiarism, defamation, and research or publication misconduct.

Published articles constitute a permanent part of the scholarly record and should remain accurate, accessible, and unaltered whenever possible. However, in exceptional circumstances, an article may need to be corrected, retracted, withdrawn, removed, or replaced. Such actions are undertaken carefully and only when necessary to protect the integrity of the scholarly record and the rights, safety, and interests of the academic and public communities.

Linggamas: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat follows recognized publication ethics principles, including relevant recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), when handling corrections, retractions, withdrawals, removals, and article replacements.

Article Retraction

An article may be retracted when there is clear evidence that the published work contains substantial problems that invalidate its findings or seriously compromise the integrity of the publication. Grounds for retraction may include, but are not limited to:

• major errors or unreliable findings that substantially affect the validity of the article;
• fabrication or falsification of data;
• plagiarism or substantial unattributed use of another person's work;
• duplicate or redundant publication;
• serious authorship or authorship-related misconduct;
• unethical research or community service practices; or
• other serious violations of publication ethics.

A retraction decision is made by the editorial team after appropriate assessment of the circumstances and, where necessary, consultation with relevant authors, reviewers, institutions, or other parties. The consent of all authors is not necessarily required for a retraction when there is sufficient evidence of serious misconduct or significant problems affecting the integrity of the published work.

A retraction notice will be published and clearly linked to the original article. The notice will state the reason for retraction and identify the article being retracted. The original article will normally remain accessible in the journal's online archive but will be clearly marked as "Retracted". The article's metadata and publication history will be retained to preserve the integrity and transparency of the scholarly record.

Article Withdrawal

Article withdrawal is generally limited to manuscripts that have been accepted or posted online but have not yet been formally published as part of a journal issue. Withdrawal may be considered in exceptional circumstances, such as serious errors, duplicate submission or posting, authorship disputes, plagiarism, ethical violations, or other circumstances that make continued publication inappropriate.

When an article is withdrawn, the journal may remove the article's full text from the online platform and replace it with a withdrawal notice explaining the reason for the withdrawal. The article's basic metadata and withdrawal information may be retained to maintain an accurate publication record.

The retention of copyright by authors does not automatically give authors the right to withdraw a published article from the journal. Once an article has been formally published, maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record takes precedence, and any withdrawal or retraction will be handled in accordance with this policy.

Article Removal

In exceptional and legally justified circumstances, a published article may need to be removed from the journal's online platform. Article removal is considered only when the continued availability of the article would create serious legal, ethical, or public-interest concerns.

Circumstances that may justify removal include, but are not limited to, an article that is clearly defamatory, violates another person's legal rights, is subject to a valid legal or court order, or poses a serious and demonstrable risk to public health or safety.

When an article is removed, the journal will retain the article's basic metadata, including the title, authors, publication information, and a statement explaining that the article has been removed for legal or ethical reasons. The full text may be replaced with a removal notice where necessary.

Article Replacement

In exceptional circumstances, an article may be replaced when a serious error could potentially result in significant harm if the published information were followed or applied. A replacement may be considered when a corrected version can adequately address the identified problem while maintaining transparency regarding the publication history.

When an article is replaced, the journal will retain the original publication record and provide a clear notice explaining the reason for the replacement. The corrected version will be clearly identified, linked to the original publication record, and accompanied by appropriate information about the changes and publication history.
